Gargoyles are stone structures built into architecture that helps divert water away from the building to avoid water damage to the building. The water is expelled from a spout usually in the mouth of the animal or design of the gargoyle. Gargoyles have existed since ancient Greece and Medival times.
This gargoyle is of a dragon. I like how it juts out from the building and how the top is all black with a cream colored underside.

Here is another more humorous gargoyle statue. The great detailed parts of this gargoyle along with its casual stance can put a lasting image in your mind. This is also one of my favorites.
Moving to the darker side of gargoyles this one which appears to be from the Middle Ages shows how gargyoles can show the emotion and the time of when it was built.
